Colwyn Bay Beach & Promenade

Colwyn Bay boasts a Blue Flag sandy beach stretching approximately three miles from Old Colwyn through Colwyn Bay to Penrhyn Bay. The wide sweep of golden sand is backed by a restored Victorian-style promenade—complete with kiosks, cafés, public toilets, and water sports facilities—ideal for swimming, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and leisurely strolls.

Colwyn View From Pier

A combined pedestrian and cycle path (part of National Cycle Route 5) sits atop the sea defences, offering a scenic coastal route to Rhos-on-Sea and Llandudno. Improvements to sea defences, public artworks, and better accessibility make the area ideal for families, dog walkers (with seasonal restrictions May–September), and fitness seekers. With convenient parking and amenities throughout, the prom connects communities and encourages exploration of shops and restaurants just beyond the seafront
